Natalie du Pascier. Strange order of things

Exhibition March 8 − May 25, 2019
Pace Gallery in Seoul presents Natalie du Pascier exhibition "Strange order of things". The exhibition includes more than thirty paintings, drawings and ceramic objects created over the past twenty years.

The artist's work blurs the boundaries between visual art and design. In recent years, her painting has become purely abstract. The paintings emphasize interest in the spatial relations between objects, and the distribution of color, form and space creates a network of elements united by a single aesthetics and unique visual language of the master.

Natalie Du Pasquier was born in 1957 in France. In 1979 she moved to Milan, where she became one of the founders of the Memphis Group, created patterns for decorating textiles and furniture. Despite the success in design, in 1987 she switched to painting. Her paintings and paperwork contain geometric furniture, lamps, and unexpected and energetic color relationships that the group in Memphis is known for.
