Exhibition April 13 − May 9, 2017
April 13 at Mystetskyi Arsenal will open large-scale exhibition project "the Pure art". It is the exhibition-the story of "naive" artists and their work, complemented their works created on the "concept" frontier with the modern, avant-garde, folk art.
Between professional (academic) and traditional (folk) art a small array of very interesting art that not only as: naive, outsider, Amateur, true... This art created autodidact who could not without drawing. No equipment, no materials, no commercial motives were not decisive in their work - with only one pure desire to create.
Project Arsenal "Pure art" needs to update this art history; to create interest and to introduce the "naive" to a wider audience and to revive the terminological debate, to find common or distinct in the understanding of non-professional art in the Ukrainian and Western cultures.
