Exhibition April 22 − May 2, 2019
The Central House of Artists invites to the exhibition Academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, People’s Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the RSFSR State Prize to them. I. Ye. Repin and the State Prize of the Russian Federation, Professor and Virtuoso Master Dmitry Zhilinsky "Path to the picture".
The exhibition presents sketches and drawings made by Zhilinsky to his main works.
Dmitry Zhilinsky wrote portraits and multi-figure genre compositions, designed in the spirit of a kind of “neo-renaissance”, whose heroes were sportsmen, musicians, painters, sculptors, writers. Often the artist's work is attributed to the severe style, although the master himself did not support such an opinion. In the pictures of илиilina, behind each item or hero is a whole story. All his works are personal, they are connected with the biography of the author and the fate of his loved ones.
