First names

The Museum of the History of the City of Kiev presents an exhibition of Ukrainian classical art "First names". The exhibition is created from works of famous Ukrainian artists of the twentieth century, stored in the gallery "Les Noms". The authors of the works are modernist and postmodern artists, expressionists and impressionists, graduates of famous creative workshops and educational institutions whose works are in private collections in many countries of the world.

The project "First Names" began in 2014. He presents the multi-thematic and multi-genre works of the leading Ukrainian artists of our time.

Ivan Marchuk is one of the most modern Ukrainian artists, Nikolai Glushchenko is a scout artist who is called “Ukrainian Monet”, Sergey Shishko is a master of lyrical painting, Victor Zaretsky is an artist who has become world famous for her expressive canvases, Tatyana Golembiyevskaya is a master of easel painting , managed to combine realism and impressionism on her canvases. The exhibition "First Names" presents the works of these and other equally outstanding masters.

The exhibition also includes paintings by Adalbert Boretsky, Boris Buryak, Nikolai Maksimenko, Fyodor Zakharov, Igor Gubsky, Yakov Basov, Andrey Kotsk, Konstantin Lomykin, Joseph Bokshaya, Fyodor Konovalyuk, Vladimir Strelnikov, Fyodor Manaylo, Koshan Koshevo, and the Bee;
