Parergon: Japanese Art of the 1980s and 1990s

Gallery Blum & Poe presents "Parergon: Japanese Art of the 1980s and 1990s", a selected exhibition, which is curated by Mika Yoshitake.

The exhibition focuses on the themes of retro-futurism, noir, satire and simulation, as well as topics that explore national boundaries. The works of more than twenty-five artists, including EYE, Kenjiro Okazaki, Mariko Mori, Kodai Nakahara, Small Village Center, Yukorini Yanagi, Kenji Yanobe and Tadanori Yoko, include painting, sculpture, performance, noise, video and photography.
