In the Metropolitan Museum in Tokyo, an exhibition
Gustav Klimtrepresenting Vienna at the end of the 19th century. The exhibition, consisting of 25 oil paintings, is the largest in Japan for the first time in 30 years. The exhibits are divided into eight chapters on the collection of the Australian art gallery Belvedere Palace in Vienna.
The exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the artist’s death. Presented as early naturalistic work, and samples of the "golden style" that appeared with the formation of Secession, beautiful female figures and many landscapes. Also exhibited works of painters who worked in Vienna at the same time with Klimt.
