Exhibition "
Migrant Stories"presents paintings and engravings of contemporary artist Hung Liu. The works of Liu depict families and children ravaged by the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Liu's works, although they deal with a heart-rending plot, are very beautiful - each of them has loose, smooth layers of color with central figures that seem to glow. The exhibition offers viewers to consider not only suffering, injustice and displacement, but also the possibility of human stability.
