Sports Vision: Paul Mellon Collection

Since about 1700 and for more than 200 years, the enduring attractiveness and beauty of English country life is reflected in more than 80 paintings, including a special section dedicated to the incomparable work of the famous horse artist and animal George Stubbs.

Often displaying specific portraits of favorite horses, dogs and their owners, "Sports vision»Provides a deep immersion in the search for a country that Paul Mellon who was born in Pittsburgh fell in love with. “Sporting Vision” also covers broader topics related to Enlightenment research, class structure, industrialization and the development of roads and transport.
