Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum presents the exhibition “Under the same sky. French and Russian paintings of the XIX-XX centuries from the collection of Inna Bazhenova ".

Inna Bazhenova - Founder InArtibus Foundation, publisher of the international network TheArtNewspaper, founder of the annual TheArtNewspaperAward and Art Film Festival TheARTNewspaperRussiaFILMFESTIVAL, collector, participant and initiator of cultural projects.

This is a rare opportunity to get acquainted with one of the most interesting private collections in Russia, which includes works by famous masters and is in demand at exhibitions of European museums.

The picturesque paintings by French post-impressionists Georges Seuard, Andre Derain, Odilon Redon, Maurice Utrillo, as well as Russian artists Peter Konchalovsky, Ilya Mashkov, Vladimir Lebedev and many others will be shown for the first time in the Museum of Nizhny Novgorod.

The exhibition aims to reflect the diversity of interdependencies in European and Russian classical painting, to show parallels and interactions in the development of artists and national schools of the two countries.

The exhibition features 51 canvases, of which 21 are works by French painters.
