Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art presents an exhibition
“Andrey Topunov. Programmable graphics ».
This is a unique exhibition of optical objects and kinetic installations, created on the basis of mathematical formulas and equations.
Andrey Topunov (1953) - artist, mathematician, programmer, candidate of technical sciences, graphic designer.
Using computer programs, Andrey Topunov explores motion in graphics, traditionally static and two-dimensional. Turning a still image into an interactive one, he visualizes the beauty of scientific knowledge: in his works one can guess the famous optical illusions and figures - the Necker cube, Penrose's triangle, Count Petersen, Escher metamorphosis.
