Nikita Zigura. New archeology

Exhibition June 20 − July 13, 2019
Kiev gallery Mironova Foundation presents a personal exhibition of Nikita Zigura "New archeology". The project is dedicated to the actual topic of environmental conservation and changes in the ecological consciousness of mankind. The basis of the exhibition is a multi-scale colored columns created from compressed garbage, reminiscent of ancient temples.

“The project was not created by chance, it was preceded by changes in environmental awareness and lifestyle. It is understood that global consists of small particles - this is the essence of our civilization. I have repeatedly taken part in environmental campaigns, I myself was the organizer. And with my own eyes I saw the scope and scale of the current situation. I think that future archaeologists will call our cultural layer “plastic”, ”says the author.

Nikita Zigura was born in 1984 in Dnepropetrovsk. He graduated from the State Art High School and the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kiev. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2012. Participant of numerous exhibitions.
