Forgotten Russian philanthropist

The State Hermitage Museum presents an exhibition. “Forgotten Russian philanthropist. Collection of Count Pavel Sergeevich Stroganov ".

The exhibition project is a tribute to Count Pavel Sergeevich Stroganov (1823–1911), a significant part of which was in the Hermitage. His collection was unfairly forgotten, although it not only reflected the trends and tastes of his era, but also presented a number of remarkable works of painting and sculpture to the museum.

In total, the exhibition features about 250 exhibits - paintings, sculptures and objects of applied art, watercolors and photographs.

The exhibition is organized by the State Hermitage with the support of The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, The State Russian Museum,Tambov Regional Art Gallery and Russian National Library.
