Chitra Ganesh: Works on paper

Exhibition April 18 − August 4, 2019
Fake nails, tinsel and sparkles sparkle on the surface of Chitra Ganesh's works, drawing the attention of viewers to luxurious textures and surfaces when the artist traces science fiction stories on the body through references to surrealism. In his work, Ganesh sets up a new, strange vision system in which the “other” body is simultaneously explored and gets the opportunity to no longer feel like a stranger.

Exhibition "Chitra Ganesh: Works on paper"refuses to objectify the body, because the figures simultaneously appear from the inside of the page and blur in the flow with the artist's signature brilliance. Despite the robust layering technique, the content of Ganesh's works refers to the" delicacy "of its contours, quality that oscillates between constructive and destructive transforming power.
