Gloria Osuna Perez: Beyond Portraits

Exhibition April 19 − August 8, 2019
Gloria Osuna Perez portrayed people with deep skin the color of cinnamon, because of what they looked more than portraits of friends and family. The artist, who painted, but also worked with clay, called her paintings “supra portraits,” that is, outside or above portraits. At the exhibition "Outside portraits"presented several paintings by Osuna Perez, the installation, as well as original book illustrations.

Gloria Osuna Perez may have turned to her family and life for inspiration, but her images of people - children with seniors, lifelong friends - are universal.
