Exhibition "
Monsters and Myths"- Almost 90 surrealistic masterpieces of the 1930s and 1940s, written by artists such as Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst and Andre Masson, are presented through an objective picture of war, violence and exile.
Despite the political and civil unrest caused by the civil war in Spain and World War II, avant-garde artists in Europe and those who sought refuge in the United States tried to create some of the most powerful and vivid images of the surrealist movement. Monsters in the real world spawned monsters in painting and sculpture, on film, on the pages of magazines and books, which led to a period of extraordinary creativity.
