Memory inversion

Exhibition July 31 − August 16, 2019
In Kiev, in the art space of the Mironova Foundation, a multimedia art project "Memory inversion", Combining the painting of Victor Sidorenko, the sculpture of Nazar Bilyk and a photograph of Sergei Melnichenko. The project explores the psychological state of a person, raises the problems of self-identification, the interaction of historical memory and the present.

The project participants are representatives of three generations of contemporary Ukrainian art. Each of the authors offers its inversions of human states in the context of the modern world. Victor Sidorenko’s character is a vehicle between the past and the present, between historical memory and self-identification. Nazar Bilyk in his works explores various psychological states of a person and his interaction with a person. Photographer Sergey Melnichenko in his work captures phantom states of a person that arise precisely in peak emotional manifestations.
