Suter's work is inspired by the tropical landscape of Panajachel in Guatemala, where she lives and works. The environment plays an important role in the creation and development of its work. Sooter leaves his work outdoors to expose elements to volcanic and botanical substances, are included in the work. If you look closely at her canvases, you can find leaves or branches frozen in thick paint, or random footprints of the artist’s dog paws.
