Song for the king

The Pushkin Museum of Contemporary Art Gallery of the Republic of Tatarstan holds an exhibition of the famous artist and designer Yevgeny Golubtsov "Song for the King".

The exposition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the author presents numerous examples of Russian avant-garde, postmodernism, Suprematism, created by a bright painter and graphic artist.

The author is engaged in easel painting, he writes still lifes, landscapes, portraits of people close to him and genre compositions in which he refers to ancient antique, medieval and ancient Russian subjects. The source of creativity is eternal themes and images of art, which he freely reinterprets, combining different historical traditions and artistic trends. Laconicism of color, sophistication of lines and forms are characteristic of the artist's painting.
