Reina Sofia Art Center in Madrid presents the exhibition "Seiya Stand. This happened".
Seiya Stoika (1933-2013) is a self-taught artist and an Austrian narrator, author of later literary and pictorial work, dating back to 1986. The stance comes from a family of merchants who suffered after the annexation of Austria due to persecution. In the eighties, she began to restore her memories, first in oral stories and poems, and then in painting.
The stand draws on paper or cardboard and uses acrylic materials that it is applied with a brush or directly with your fingers, using bright colors and intense strokes that give energy to the painting.
