The Burchfield Penney Art Center presents the full exhibition “
Buffalo Painting, 1832-1972". The exhibition relies on public and private collections and will focus on artists whose work has influenced art in the region.
The Center exhibits paintings from the early history of the city of Buffalo, including the works of Hamilton (1847-1928), William Graham (1832-1911) and Annie Crawford (1856-1942). Rarely visible works from private collections of artists such as Grace Beals (1868-1929) and Florence Julia Bach (1887-1979) are also included in the exhibition.
