Exhibition March 18 − August 27, 2017
At the Center of design ARTPLAY opened the original exhibition devoted to 100-anniversary of the death of Edgar Degas. It is a multimedia exhibition of sixteen of the most important representatives of the modern age "From Monet to Malevich. The great modernists".

The exhibition includes about 5,000 works by the brightest artists of the late XIX - early XX century – Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Henri Rousseau, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Gustav Klimt, Paul Signac, Piet Mondrian, Amedeo Modigliani, Vincent van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Juan Gris, Paul Klee, Franz Marc, Vasily Kandinsky and Kazimir Malevich.

At this difficult time when the society experienced the industrial revolution, political upheavals, wars, began to change the art world. Instead of quiet "realistic" painting, came the artistic movement, later merged with the term "modernism". Such different directions, like expressionism, abstractionism, surrealism, Suprematism, and other, fully reflect the variability of the world community, its rapid progress.

Multimedia exhibition helped to find pictures of modern new life with digital technology — indeed, one hundred years ago, it was the work of modernists was the first glimpse of this technological future. Visitors to one place will be able to see the work of artists from more than 20 museums from around the world.

In addition to the exhibition itself, the exhibition organized free lectures for visitors on the life and work of each artist.
