Verrocchio: sculptor and artist of the Renaissance"- This is the first US monographic exhibition dedicated to Andrea del Verrocchio (1435-1488), an artist, sculptor and teacher, among whose students were Leonardo da Vinci, Pietro Perugino and Sandro Botticelli.
The exhibition explores the richness and breadth of Verrocchio's exceptional craftsmanship, collecting about 50 of his masterpieces in painting, sculpture and graphics, which allow viewers to appreciate how the work of the master in each art form stimulated creativity in other famous artists.
