The exposition of a large-scale anniversary exhibition of the artist will comprise works from the Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Ateneum Art Museum (Finland), the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin, Museum-Estate I.E. Repin "Penates", Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve and other museum and private collections. The exhibition will feature more than 250 paintings and graphic works - these are recognized masterpieces of the master and his little-known works, as well as objects related to the life and work of the artist.
In 2019, the 175th anniversary of the birth of Ilya Efimovich Repin, the largest painter of the second half of the 19th century, whose name is associated with the assertion and flourishing of realism in Russian fine art, is celebrated.
