The unique vision and extraordinary talent of artist David Cassan unite at the exhibition “
Survivors”, Which presents Kassan’s paintings of more than a dozen Holocaust survivors.
Preparing to draw their portraits, Cassan wrote down the history of his models, getting to know them more deeply. His deep understanding of these people and their unique stories conveys a sense of their experiences in the Holocaust as well as their individual appearance: intuitive, realistic images reflect the spirit, pain and dignity of each person.
Portraits of David Cassan themselves become a form of history, revealing a bright image of sustainability, the complex nature of survival and the modern reflection of their life after the genocide.
