The Theater of Dramatic Art Theater will host a retrospective exhibition of the national artist Dmitry Sandzhiev's Eternal Masquerade, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the author, an academician of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Dmitry Nikitich Sandzhiev is one of the most interesting masters of contemporary art, recognizable by his unique technique. The author has held more than 200 exhibitions and won recognition in Russia and around the world. His works are in the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of the East, the Russian Museum of St. Petersburg, in the collections of Ludwig (Germany) and Faber-Castell (Nuremberg, Germany), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (USA), the Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), galleries and Private collections in Russia, France, Germany, Austria, USA, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Mongolia.
"Eternal Masquerade" - the name of the exhibition and the title work. In the paintings and graphic sheets of Dmitry Sandzhiev, reality and mysticism are connected together. The world of his artwork offers the viewer imaginative reflection, a kind of spiritual practice.
