The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan holdspersonal exhibition of Rinat Kharisov.
The exhibition presents works created by the artist in different periods of life, from the collection of the author, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the Fund them. S. Marjani.
In the works of Rinat Kharisov, as a representative of “ethnic avant-garde, nationality is manifested in the manner of writing, in its naturalness and simplicity. Subjects and images literally “splash out” onto the canvas without any stretch: the artist does not like to limit them to the outlined frames of the paintings and, drawing beyond the two-dimensional plane of the canvas, continues their life in reality. This connection with living reality is also supported by witty inscriptions that reveal not only the content of the paintings, but also the meaning of the visual symbols abound in them. Plunging into the world of folklore imagery, finding a source of inspiration in it, Rinat Kharisov combines image and word, painting and folk poetry.
