Exhibition of paintings by Victor Nikolaevich Pegov.
The chronological period of the exhibited works covers the end of the 1950s - 2010s and reflects the main figurative-thematic and genre lines expressing the creative concept of the author, his art world.
He received a brilliant art education in one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country - in the Kazan Art College, associated with the names of many prominent masters of painting, including D.D. Burliuk (1882–1967), N.I. Feshin (1881–1955) and A.E. Tyulkina (1888-1980), - Pegov throughout his career showed the universalism of genre addictions and high pictorial culture. In his pictorial heritage - lyrical and psychological portraits, subject and floral still lifes, lyrical and lyric-epic landscapes, large-format thematic paintings, solved with special attention to composition and color. An important role in Pegov’s painting is also played by texture, as a result of which the surface of his canvases acquires the effect of light relief, inseparable from the emotional dynamics of the image. Victor Pegov is the undisputed representative of the Russian realistic school of painting, its artistic traditions.
