Nikolay Belous. Polystylism

Exhibition November 15, 2019 − February 28, 2020
In the Kiev art gallery Workshop is an exhibition of Nikolai Belous "Polystylism". Being a sophisticated colorist, the author harmoniously combines colors in his paintings, placing the characters in the radiant haze of the base tone that he invented. This tone is one of the most characteristic distinguishing features of his art, which is a mixture of three primary colors - yellow, red and blue. The master creates portraits filled with genuine feelings and sharp contradictions, expressing with the help of color harmony the subtle nuances of emotional tension in the air between the characters in the paintings.

Nikolay Belous was born in 1956 in the Kiev region. He graduated from the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute, and then, after an internship in Germany, he taught art disciplines at the Poltava National Technical University for several years. His works were presented at exhibitions in Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, the Czech Republic.
