The State Hermitage Holds an Exhibition“Sandro Botticelli. “Madonna della Loggia” ”.

Visitors will be able to see the Botticelli masterpiece from the collection of galleries of the Uffizi, Florence, as well as two works of the late period by Sandro Botticelli from the Hermitage collection - Saint Jerome and Saint Dominic.

Botticelli's painting “Madonna in the Loggia” is one of his earliest works and follows the Byzantine iconographic type known as “Our Lady of Eleus” - “Tenderness”. The show is part of an exhibition project sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Moscow, organized by the Uffizi Galleries, the State Hermitage Museum and the Primorsky State Art Gallery in Vladivostok.
