The State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg presents a large-scale exhibition
"Old Petersburg. Capital and surroundings".
The exhibition presents 150 paintings and graphic works by famous St. Petersburg artists of the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries from the funds of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg. Many works are on display for the first time.
The audience is presented with images of the Russian capital: panoramas of the city, military parades and reviews of the guard regiments, religious and secular holidays. The gallery of urban landscapes is complemented by images of the interiors of temples, palaces, public buildings, private houses. A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to the suburbs of St. Petersburg. Here you can get acquainted with the views of suburban imperial residences in Peterhof, Tsarskoye Selo, Pavlovsk, Gatchina, as well as the closest suburban neighborhoods of the city.
