Secrets of the starry sky of Enstor E

In the exhibition space of VLADEY SPACE Center for Contemporary Art Winery opened a personal project of Nestor Engelke“Secrets of the starry sky of Enstor E”- one of the founders and key participants in the St. Petersburg art group Sever-7.
The master of “ax painting” and self-destructive anti-architectural forms built a total installation in the gallery space, recreating a kind of cabinet of rarities, the laboratory of the mad researcher and retro innovator Enstor E.
The poetics of the "obviously failed experiment", fiasco and failure become the main force driving the hero to new archaic "discoveries". “The tree is the media of the future!” - the natural scientist Enstor E. persistently reiterates. Leaving open the finale of the architectural project to search for the ideal spatial form, that same “place”, the artist leads a new hero of his inner mythology into battle. He is engaged in optical experiments, searching for new stars and planets, creating paradoxical clock mechanisms and structures. And all of them, of course, are made of wood.
