Echo of expressionism. The art of Leningrad in the middle - the second half of the twentieth century

The State Russian Museum in the halls of the Marble Palace holds a large-scale exhibition“Echo of expressionism. The art of Leningrad in the middle - the second half of the twentieth century ".

The exposition includes works by artists and sculptors A. Rusakov, G. Traugot, V. Yanova, T. Glebova, K. Simun, L. Kholina, A. Ignatiev, P. Shurigi, A. Arefiev, S. Schwartz, R. Vasmi , V. Shagina, R. Gudzenko, E. Mikhnova-Voitenko, V. Kubasova, S. Gershov, A. Basin, Solomon Rossin, E. Moiseenko, Z. Arshakuni, M. Shemyakin, G. Ustyugov, B. Koshelokhov, T. Novikova, O. Kotelnikova and many others. The exhibition presents more than 200 works from the collection of the State Russian Museum, the State Hermitage Museum, the Museum of Art of St. Petersburg of the XX-XXI centuries, the State Museum "Tsarskoye Selo Collection", the New Museum of Aslan Chekhoyev, private collections and workshops of St. Petersburg artists.

The exhibition for the first time reconstructs the history of Leningrad expressionism in the unity and diversity of the ways of development of the plastic form, on which the works of masters closely converge in life, as a rule, which did not intersect.
