Remarkably done: a collection of African American art by Anthony and David Artisov

Natives of Flint Anthony and David Artis have been collecting African American art since 2009. They have a passion to share their collection, and they did it locally, but this exhibition will be her first show at the museum.

Themcollectioncurrently totals more than 70 works, mainly engravings, as well as watercolors and drawings. According to collectors, they have collected art on the themes of faith, family and "they want people to be moved and inspired."

Artists at the exhibition: Henry Ossawa Tanner, Jacob Lawrence, Mary Lee Bendolph, Winfred Rembert and others.
