Annual Exhibition "Recent acquisitions"shows 25 portraits that have recently entered the famous collection of the Washington Portrait Gallery.
The images of people who influenced art, business, fashion, the media, medicine, music and social justice bring together more than 23,000 works that recognize people who have influenced the history and culture of the United States.
Topics include actors Andy Garcia, Morgan Freeman and Audrey Hepburn, composer Philip Glass, civil rights activist and journalist Ruben Salazar. Portraits of the gala-laureates of the 2019 American portrait Francis Arnold, Jeffrey P. Bezos, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Indra Nuyi and Anna Wintour are presented at the exhibition. The exposition includes photographs, paintings, illustrations and drawings.
