In the spring of 2020, the Vienna Museum of Art History will present the exhibition "Respect to Beethoven".
His universal and unique style, the epochal significance of his music, as well as the perception of his deified personality create an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The exhibition combines paintings by Caspar David Friedrich, Turner's studies, graphic works by Francisco de Goya, Anselm Kiefer and Jorinde Voigt, sculptures by Auguste Rodin, contemporary works by Rebecca Horn and Tino Segal.
All art objects enter into dialogue with the music and person of Beethoven. Thus, the exhibition will build a bridge with modernity: masterpieces of fine art combine music and silence.
