The Tretyakov Gallery offers visitors several levels of perception of the Russian fairy tale. The first way - through art, the works of Viktor Vasnetsov, Ivan Bilibin, Vasily Polenov, Mikhail Vrubel, Wilson, contemporary artists - to the most recognizable images from Soviet cinema and animation. The second - through a journey through the worlds of Russian folklore: fairy tales, epics and tales. And the third - through the natural elements: the space of the dungeon, forest and water, in which the main events of stories familiar from childhood are taking place.
An important feature of the exhibition - its immersiveness - is to give the visitor a physical (bodily) study of the fairy-tale world through immersion in the elements of the habitat of well-known heroes and characters.
