Back to the present. New perspectives, new works - collection from 1945 until today

Exhibition April 2 − July 2, 2020
Shtedelevsky Art Institute presents the exhibition "Back to the present. New perspectives, new works - collection from 1945 until today"- a new presentation of the collection of contemporary art.

Works from different schools, styles and groups open up amazing comparisons, perspectives and lines of sight between the immediate present and its roots in past decades. Through several narrative directions, the new presentation provides access to art after 1945, which intentionally makes the collection not thematic, but chronological.

The exhibition leads the way through seven decades of contemporary art, which allows the public to understand their art history individually and in accordance with their interests. In total, the exhibition includes about 250 works by 170 artists.

Artists at the exhibition: Thomas Dimand, Rosemary Trokel, Gerhard Richter, Daniel Richter, Isa Gentsken, Yves Klein, Victor Vasarely, Francis Bacon and others.
