In the State Museum A.S. Pushkin hosts an exhibition"My portrait. Portraits of A.S. Pushkin XX-XXI centuries from the collection of the State Museum A.S. Pushkin ".
The exhibition features portraits of the great poet, made by artists of XX - XXI centuries. Among them are the works of such famous masters as N.P. Ulyanov, V.I. Shukhaev, N.V. Ilyin, K.I. Rudakov, K.F. Yuon, A.G. Tyshler and many others.
"My portrait" - as Pushkin called his poem, written in French at the Lyceum. This was the first experience of a young poet comprehending his character and appearance. Subsequently, he turned to the theme of his portrait in the lyrics and in the novel "Eugene Onegin." Over the years, he was increasingly occupied with his inner world, spiritual values that remained unshakable for him. Manuscripts of A.S. Pushkin preserved for us many of his self-portraits drawn with a light pen. During the life of A.S. Pushkin artists painted his portraits. Over time, an extensive portrait of Pushkin was created. Each artist saw the poet in his own way, trying not only to capture his appearance, but also to come closer to comprehending his personality, his character.
