Conrad Fischer Gallery in Dusseldorf holds a large retrospective
an exhibition of works by Charlotte Posenenske (Mayer).
Visitors will be able to see the work of the minimalist artist in the genre of painting, graphics, drawing, sculpture and modular complexes.
Charlotte Pozensenske (1930 - 1985) was born in Germany, before becoming a leading artist and sculptor of the abstract, conceptual and minimalist movement, worked as a decorator. In the 1960s, she refused to participate in commerce, the art market and created abstract improvised modular sculptures and paintings. She condemned "copyright" and ownership of works of art, putting forward the concept of works accessible to everyone, within the framework of which she went into voluntary "creative exile" and, until her death, refused any participation in exhibitions and demonstrations of her works.
