The Musee d'Orsay in conjunction with the Tate Gallery organizes an exhibition
“Aubrey Beardsley. 1872 - 1898 ".
The exhibition will feature more than 100 works from the collection of the Tate Britain Museum and Gallery.
The English illustrator and engraver Aubrey Beardsley died at the age of twenty-five, but left behind a great creative legacy. His illustrations to the “Solomei” by Oscar Uyld became the most famous, and the drawings - lively, graceful and elegant, became a reflection of the strange, “wrong”, distorted universe of their author.
