Bavarian National Museum presents an exhibition
"Faithful friends. Dogs and people ".
The exposition presents exhibits of a wide range - from antiquity to the present day, dedicated to the relationship of people and dogs as true friends and companions. More than 200 works of art showcase various aspects of the age-old changing relationship between humans and animals.
The exhibition includes many genres - from the Egyptian dog mummy and medieval altar panels to the ultra-modern dog robot. Separate chapters are devoted to topics such as loyalty and friendship, symbols of status and relationships, and the benefits and dangers of dogs. In all areas, the exhibition tells something about the people themselves, about the self-knowledge and identity of mankind.
