Stedelek Museum, Amsterdam presents an exhibition“The door to the future. Art and design from 1880 to the present ".
The new exhibition brings together about 700 works of various genres of fine art and design elements from the museum’s collection, created over the past 140 years: painting, graphics, sculptures, installations, furniture and accessories.
An exciting and unorthodox exhibition has the concept of opening up access to the “high art” and everyday design of the past century and a half, illustrating their development in chronological order, creating a kind of “introduction” to contemporary art for both intellectuals and beginners.
