Forged together: art in painting and silver
Exhibition June 9, 2020 − January 17, 2021
The Boymans van Böningen Museum presents an exhibition“Forged Together: Art in Painting and Silver”.
The exposition consists of paintings by representatives of the Golden Age of Dutch painting and dozens of unique silverware: precious glasses, dishes, teapots, salt shakers, snuff boxes.
The combination of Dutch silverware and paintings that depict these objects makes the exhibition multidimensional and fascinating for visitors, since each exhibit is not only “physically” present, but also tells its story.
