National Gallery, Prague holds an exhibition
“Stanislav Sukhard: creative process”.
As part of a review of the creative heritage of the great sculptors of the 20th century, the exposition introduces sculptures, plaster models and drawings by the largest Czech author.
The life and work of Stanislav Sukhard are divided into thematic blocks devoted to the forming environment of the Novopaki family workshop, creative principles, work at the head of the Manes Art Association, architectural sculpture, portraiture, monumental, gravestone and medal work. The author’s work is saturated with the idealized world of Slavic paganism and non-traditional iconography.
