Kunsthaus Museum, Zurich holds an exhibition
“Smoke and mirrors. Roaring 1920s. From Josephine Baker to Thomas Ruff ».
A large-scale exposition was made up of painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, collages of the best masters of the 20s of the last century.
Urban landscapes of the period in question were created when cities grew at breakneck speed. Traditional role models in society and marriage have been questioned and updated; disadvantaged and oppressed minorities expressed their opinions in politics and culture. Improving workers' conditions went hand in hand with the growing leisure industry. The spirit of innovation directly penetrated the art, experimenting in all disciplines. It is noteworthy that not one of his fine art products of the last century has lost its relevance.
