The Royal Collection of Great Britain hosts an exhibition
"Surprises of the East: Four Centuries of the Fine Arts of the Indian Subcontinent".
The exposition presents the best examples of painting, drawings, illustrations, calligraphy, weapons, works of decorative and applied art by masters of South Asia.
The exhibition covers over 400 years of artistic and literary creativity and offers a new look at the history of the British monarchy and the Indian subcontinent, acquaintance with portraits of noble families, illustrations of national epics, magnificent images of the Mughal court and works of contemporary authors.
