Aros Art Museum in Aarhus hosts a large exhibition"Mythology. The beginning and end of civilizations ".
Visitors will see works by Antonio Bellucci, Peter Paul Rubens, Ferdinand Bol, Peter Claes, Jan Brueghel and dozens of other iconic painters and sculptors.
"Mythology. The Beginning and End of Civilizations ”is an exhibition about faith, hope, crises and revolutions, as well as how the power of the figurative word has created and changed societies throughout history - from the era of Greek myths to the modern state. Narratives not only supported society, but also had a destructive effect on it - this is the dual nature of myth. The fact that myths and narratives are the fabric that still unites us all is one of the main claims of the exhibition.
