An exhibition opened at the Palace of Versailles
"Palace of Versailles in the comics".
With over a hundred works on display, visitors will discover the realistic, unusual and fantastic world of Versailles.
This exhibition offers 9th art lovers a wide range of graphic and technical styles, spanning the period from the 19th century to the present day. A large collection of original tablets, sketches, preparatory drawings, as well as original editions of albums and magazines recreate different approaches to places and historical events.
Comic book writers and illustrators have explored other themes and perspectives, such as gardens, architecture, great historical figures, or even the events that marked Versailles. In particular, very rare images of some of the kings of France, such as Louis XVIII and Charles X, episodes of the French Revolution will be presented.
