Masterpieces from the Valdes collection

Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts invites to the exhibition"Masterpieces from the Valdes collection".
The exposition brought together 79 works received from the heirs of Felix Fernandez-Valdez (Bilbao, 1895-1976) and constituted the most prestigious collection of the museum.
The Valdez collection covers an extensive chronology, from medieval art to the 20th century. The exhibition begins with the Gothic and continues with ancient and modern masters such as El Greco, Anthony van Dyck, Jose de Ribera, Francisco de Zurbaran, Bartolome Esteban Murillo, Juan Valdes Leal, Francisco de Goya, Eduardo Rosales, Mariano Fortunyos, Dario de Joaquin Sorolla, Ignacio Zuloaga, Julio Romero de Torres, Daniel Vasquez Diaz, José Gutierrez Solana and Robert Delone.
