The Geneva Museum of Art and History hosts an exhibition
“Pioneers of photography. Auer Ori Collection ".
The exposition will allow visitors to take an unprecedented journey through the 1840s and 1860s, thanks to selected works from the Auer Ori Foundation.
Spectators are immersed in the magical atmosphere of the mid-19th century: city streets without cars, lake landscapes and various portraits. From panoramas of the Alps to places in distant lands, photography has nurtured a love of Orientalism, archaeological discovery and the study of the past.
